What are your kids doing this summer? How about earning some FREE books?!
Every year, Barnes and Noble offers school children up to grade 6 the chance to earn up to two free books each. The only catch is, they can only pick from a particular list of books, it's not just any book in the store. But they usually have a very good selection, so it's not too bad to be limited. There is a good group of books that are suitable for 3-4 age groups, so everyone can be happy.
The best thing about the B&N reading program is that ANY and all books qualify to be put on the reading list, unlike most library programs which usually require that you read library books. Just write down the book title, author and a little bit about the book for a total of 8 books, take it to the store and they will give you the certificate you need to get your free book. Best of all - each child can do it TWICE over the summer!
Most stores will have the papers you need to fill out available in the store, but if they don't, you can go RIGHT HERE and print out a copy for yourself. You will need Adobe Reader because they are in PDF format.
