Frugal Friday - Art when you homeschool

We're still steadily plugging along this year at Homeschool Help Web, bringing new articles each week. One thing I'm working on is a Frugal Homeschooling series, and it started with This One. There's also one about book buying, but that hasn't been posted yet, so look for it soon!

I would love your feedback - any other great ideas for cheap arts and crafts for the kids? Leave me a comment and share your best idea!

Then be sure to check out all the other Frugal Friday posts!

  • I have a arts and craft basket (large) for my daughter who is homeschooled. I put anything and everything in it. Sometimes, I'll create something just to get her creative juices flowing and other times, I'll just let her go. It's always available to her.

Another way to get free art/craft supplies is to watch your local freecycle list. People give away all kinds of great things.

Don't forget about shopping the end of season or holiday sales at craft shops or fabric shops as they have some really great deals on art/craft items. Also the dollar store has lots of fun activities if you keep your eye out for them.
