Despite the fact that we're a homeschooling family, I can still put those wonderful Box Tops For Education to use - I sell them! There are many families around that are willing to pay anything between 5 and 10 cents each (on average) in order to get a nice bundle of them. I'm not exactly sure why folks pay for them, but I have a feeling it involves class/school contests and prizes. :-)
I usually put mine on Ebay when I have a nice sized bundle - say, 30 or more. Sometimes I use them to trade for coupons that I want. One thing that really works is putting them on Ebay with the "Buy It Now" option, especially if you throw in something extra. Last time I put some up, I had 50 up for grabs, with an extra 10 thrown in if the buyer used BIN. They were snatched up in hours! I got a decent price, my buyer got a nice bundle of BTFE's, and I'm sure we were both happy.
Today's tip is brought to you as part of Frugal Friday, and you can find more tips right here.

Wow, great idea! I am going to have to start doing this - I was actually just thinking the other day that I should check to see what they could be used for other than given to schools. Thanks!

Actually, if you are a part of a homeschool support group, your group can register to cash these in! Ours just started collecting them, and we got $30 worth in the first cycle. We might use the $ to add to our lending library, or help a hs family, the list is endless!
