Today's tip: combining store coupons and manufacturer's coupons. "Store" coupons are going to be found in your store's ad flyers, or sometimes as a piece of direct mail. If it's an actual "store" coupon, the UPC on it will not look like a regular coupon UPC, if it even has one, and will have the store's name on it. The coupons that print out at the register (known as "Catalinas") do not count - they are actually manufacturer's coupons, even though they bear the name of the store on them.
Manufacturer's coupons are the ones you get from newspapers, magazines, online, direct from the company, etc. Manufacturer's coupons are redeemed by the store to a coupon clearinghouse, and the store receives money back from redeeming them. Store coupons are simply a store discount.
Did you know that at many stores, you can actually combine these? Since the store coupon is a store discount, it's like getting a sale price and then using a manufacturer's coupon on top of that price - it's just that you have to present their little piece of paper to get that special price. There are many items that be bought at greatly reduced prices, and even FREE, when you use both the store coupon and a regular manufacturer's coupon.
Try it - you'll LOVE your savings!
