Works For Me Wednesday

Shannon over at Rocks In My Dryer is taking a blog break, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to! :-)

Here's my hint for keeping the bath toys taken care of: We happened to have a good solid hook in the ceiling over one end of our tub area. (Don't know why - maybe somebody used to have a plant hanging there!) We purchased an inexpensive plastic basket, poked holes in the bottom (a hot awl works good here, so you don't split the plastic) and three holes around the rim. Through each of the three rim holes, thread a piece of twine about three feet long and tie around the hole. Bring the three strands up together and knot together. Hang another piece of twine from the hook, make a loop in the end of that, then slip in an "S" hook, or a shower curtain hook, and hang the knot of the basket strands in that hook. Then, just put the wet toys into the basket to store, and they will drain through the bottom of the basket. The open sides of the basket will help them finish airing out and nothing will get moldy and icky.
