The vocabulary of murder
Munchkin: "Mom, what is decapitation? Is it...?" she asks while drawing her finger across her throat in that easy-to-recognize bit of hand language.
Me: "Yep, 'fraid so."
Munchkin: "So, if you kill someone by cutting off their head, you're committing homicide AND decapitation, right?"
Me: "Yeah..."
Sigh. What a thoroughly lovely, enlightening and morally uplifting conversation to be having with one's 8 year old daughter. NO, I have no idea where the subject came from!
