Thoughtful Thursday

Today, I'm thinking I have a cold. One of those "change of season" colds that the kids used to always come down with, but now I get to experience. It's not bad yet, and I don't think it will get bad, but it's SOOOO draining.

Still, I'm so much better off than so many people in world. I found out today that the FIL of one my cousins - who was hit by a car about 2 months ago - has some spinal cord injuries that weren't caught. He now has only a 40% chance of walking again. I feel so badly for them.

In brighter news, the husband of another cousin is doing well and recovering nicely after selflessly donating a kidney to someone is a friend but not a relative. They are both recovering, with some pain, but from what I hear everything is going as well as can be hoped for so far.

So, good news/bad news. Both stories remind me that I need to be thankful to God that our family is in good health and that we have never had to face any problems anywhere near what these three families are dealing with. I can handle a little cold!
