They really learn how to work you, don't they?

It doesn't take long for any kid to learn what works.

Both of my kids are allowed to read in bed before going to sleep, plus they have tons of time during the day that they can read if they choose. So there's no reason why either of them should be trying the flashlight under the covers trick, right?

Unless one of them is a night owl, in this case, my daughter. She tries everything to keep from going to sleep at night. The other night after she'd finished her book and turned out the lights, I caught her with the good ol' flashlight under the sheets. I went after her, all ready to lamblast her but good. But you know, it's kind of hard to fuss at your child when what you catch them doing is....




Their Bible class lesson book. :rolleyes: So, she got off easy, considering.
